This truly is a happy day for all Christians as we listen to the Gospel account of the disciples’ discovery of the empty tomb. However, the disciples did not yet understand about the Resurrection; in fact Mary of Magdala thought Jesus was the gardener. We are blessed that our faith is based on the witnesses of Jesus’ followers and their continuing relationship with Jesus after His resurrection. However, we too are witnesses because His gift of the Spirit resides within each and every one of us! Listen to His Spirit and act upon His Spirit to set this world on fire with hope and love. The Spirit has placed a desire in all of our hearts to learn more about Christ and to become a more faithful disciple each day. Take advantage of the many opportunities at St. Rose to fully participate in this faith community. If you do not know where to begin, start by visiting the website at strosechurch.com, or stop in the Religious Education Office for a complete list of ministries at St. Rose. If you desire to be truly joyful this Easter season and always, draw closer to Christ who made it all possible.
During all Masses next weekend (April 7 & 8), First Commnion students will present their butterfly banners. These banners will mark their pews on First Communion Day. It is very important that the children celebrate Mass at St. Rose next weekend – it is a joy for our parishioners to see the children with their creations!
Called and Gifted Spring Sessions
St. Rose will offer morning and evening sessions. The morning session will begin on Wednesday, April 25 from 10:00-12:00; and the evening sessions will begin on May 9 from 6:30-8:30. There will be seven sessions. This self-discovery process is a very well-defined approach through the Catherine of Siena Institute to help us discover the gifts that we were given at Baptism. Call Pam Arsenault at 203-426-2333, ext 1 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information or to sign-up. The cost is $40 and includes all books and materials. It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain. – John 15:16a
