The church has always considered catechesis one of her primary tasks, for, before Christ ascended to his Father after His resurrection, he gave the apostles a final command – to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to observe all that he had commanded.” Catechesi Tradendae Pope John Paul II

MISSION:

The mission of St. Rose Religious Education is to help our students acquire and deepen their Catholic faith and identity through initiation rites, instruction and formation of conscience; and, to encourage them to embrace, celebrate, and practice their faith through worship and service to others.

OVERVIEW:

St. Rose Religious Education Program is committed to providing qualitycatechesis to students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight who attend public and private school.

We administer the sacramental programs of Penance, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation for all children of our Parish. (This is in addition to the ongoing Parish or school catechetical program.) We also offer a Delayed Sacrament program for older students who have not received Penance and Holy Eucharist.

We are very grateful for the ongoing support of our parishioners and the selfless dedication of our volunteer Catechists who are the backbone of our program. Following is an abbreviated outline of our program:

Students in Grade 3 through 8 receive the sacrament of Penance during Advent and Lent. All students, attend Mass once during their class sessions and participate in class projects during the year that foster compassion and service to others in the community.
