Beloved Couples
Beloved Couples strives to help nurture married couples through our Catholic faith, by understanding the true meaning of the sacrament of marriage and how to live the self sacrificial love of Christ out day to day, in imitation of Christ who was crucified for his beloved spouse (the Church). We gather monthly for a date night with other couples to share and learn about our faith, to learn from and help each other to avoid pitfalls that can hinder our married lives and to hopefully grow in intimacy with our spouses in our vocation of love.
For more information please contact Vanessa Mosher at

Kennedy’s Rosary Project
At age 2, Kennedy was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor. Since her diagnosis, she has spent countless hours in the MRI. She has received much comfort from praying the rosary in the MRI, but her mom could not find a rosary that was safe to take in with her.
Through the touches of the Holy Spirit  a new ministry called Kennedy’s Rosary Project was created to serve this need.  KRP’s mission is to makes hand-knotted MRI-safe nylon twine rosary chaplets to offer consolation and a safe rosary to be prayed anywhere.  The MRI-safe Rosaries are packaged with instructions on how to pray the Rosary and are placed in  KRP boxes, which shares Kennedy’s story in MRI centers, sent to soldiers and shared with those who are ill or suffering.  Instructions are available in Spanish and English.

This ministry is a blessing to both the knotters and to those receiving the chaplets.

Life-a-Spirit-Meal Ministry
The Lift a Spirit  Meal Ministry is compromised of St. Rose of Lima parishioners who offer meals to fellow parishioners as a charitable offering. Our recipients are parishioners who are homebound, dealing with a chronic illness, or facing medical emergencies. There is nothing like a hot meal made with love and prayers to lift their spirits knowing that fellow parishioners care. Our volunteers make and deliver the meal to the recipient at a time that is convenient for both. The work of our hands brings a loving touch to so many parishioners who are in need. Our volunteers feel truly blessed to be of service to others.
Making Music Praying Twice

Making Music Praying Twice is a parent/child small group music education class. A teacher leads parents and children in music and movement activities (singing, dancing, and very simple instrument play) which promotes the growth of music aptitude in children ages 0-5. Faithful songs sensitive to the Liturgical Year are interwoven into a complete curriculum. Classes are approximately 45 minutes long and parents, grandparents or caregivers are welcome to stay an additional 30 minutes for community time while the children play.  Making Music Praying Twice meets weekly and currently offers Fall, Advent/Christmas and a Lent/Easter programs (session run 6-12 weeks).  Classes are held in the Holy Innocence Building.

You’ll experience a dynamic men’s team inspired by the Holy Spirit delivering God’s Good News.  The food is great, the camaraderie is even better and the faith formation cannot be described in words!

This Weekend is designed for regular guys that are at various points in the faith journey.  You do not need to have a dramatic faith story to attend or to help lead the Men’s Fellowship Weekend.  All are welcome! For more information, please check our weekly Parish bulletin or contact John Barry at 203-948-3535.

Natural Family Planning
Discover God’s beautiful design of human fertility and His plan for married love.  Couples learn the science of their fertility and to chart the biological markers on a daily basis.  They can then read those signs in light of their prayerful discernment of God’s plan for their unique family.  This is a holistic, completely natural and highly effective method of both postponing and achieving pregnancy, fully in accord with the dignity of the human person.
Parish Faith Formation
Learning about our faith is a life-long process, which brings us closer to Jesus Christ every day.  St. Rose Parish family is blessed by many different ministries designed to transform the faithful to the Spirit of Christ together as a community of faith.   Explore these opportunities and feel free to contact the coordinator of any program for more information.

You get a charitable deduction for the stock’s full fair market value and you completely avoid capital gains tax on the stock’s appreciation. For example: If you paid $300 for stock now worth $1,000, you can avoid capital gains pal tax on the $700 profit and deduct the full $1,000 contribution. We work closely with the health department to insure that the preparation, before, during and after carnival hours are to code.
